Candyland Hunting Grounds

The Candyland Hunting Grounds as they were in the Flash client (opened late 2012; the Japanese wiki's pages on the dungeon, each boss and the Candy Gnome, with their 2012-2014 comments). An open hunting ground of candy grass, peppermint forest, rock-candy hills, graham-cracker flats and syrup ponds whose creatures keep coming back. The five big ones (Unicorn, Beefy Fairy, Wishing Troll, Big Creampuff, Rototo) each now and then bring their boss into the walled arena at the far end when they die: the Gigacorn, the Swoll Fairy, the Desire Troll, the Spoiled Creampuff and the MegaRototo, any number of times in one run. Gumball Machines stand about to be broken for gumballs, Rock Candy and sometimes a Cupcake. The portal drops from every Candy Gnome in the midland plains.

Getting in

How the Candyland Hunting Grounds play

An open hunting ground of sweets, opened by killing a Candy Gnome in the midland plains: it always drops the portal. The gnome is harmless but runs from you, and if you chase it for half a minute it sprints off and pops (its portal and sweets still fall where it went), so kill it quickly and call your friends after. A Candy Key opens the grounds too. Bring a level 20 character: nothing here is weak.

The grounds

You start in a clearing at one end. Cobble roads lead between patches of candy: meadows, peppermint forest (the dark grass cannot be walked through), rock-candy hills, graham-cracker flats with chocolate and strawberry columns, and syrup ponds. Everything comes back: each patch keeps its creatures returning a while after you leave it.

The arena and its bosses

At the far end of the grounds a walled arena waits empty. When one of the five big creatures dies, now and then its boss appears in the arena, and everyone is told:

Each boss can come again and again in one run. Their HP grows with the party. They drop T6-T7 weapons, T7-T8 armor, T3-T4 abilities and rings, gumballs, Rock Candy, Potions of Attack, Defense and Wisdom, the Ring Pop, rarely the Candy-Coated Armor and a Wine Cellar Incantation. The first boss you beat opens the way back to the realm.
